Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 5 Spd. no drive.....

I was driving 75 on cruise with a empty 7K. lb trailer and 5 gear went out so I put it in 4... . nothing. I can sit at idle and go thru all gears with clutch OUT. It seems like the trans. input is turning as I can "feel" a little rotation on the shifter. Also no drive in 4x4, any gear. There was a "little" binding when it went out. There is no vibration in the clutch or pedal and clutch pedal feels OK.

Any ideas? I am going to start with removing the transfer case tonight then the Trans. tomorrow.

Does this sound like my NEW SBC clutch center went south?

Shift fork collar on main shaft was broken in transfercase. It is being repaired now.

Have you had to repair anything else on the drive train? When I was changing my transfer case rear output seal, I found a piece of snap ring. The rear output bearing's snap ring was failing and I replaced it with a heavy duty bolt on collar-much more beefy. Might be something to check on yours while your there. Keep us posted.
