5 speed auto?

Hey guys,



I ran into a guy last night at the fuel stop (he had a 01 pulling a 94 on a trialer), he told me that he just ordered a 2005 with a 5 speed auto. Is this an option in the diesels? I never looked, I just wanted the 6 speed. I thought the 48's were a 4 speed?

I think a 5 speed auto is available with the Hemi, but not the CTD.

I didn't think there was one, but I never really looked into it. Just had to make sure.

A buddy of mine was looking at diesels a couple of months ago, and the salesman was trying to tell him that the diesels did NOT have 6 speed manuals, but did have 5 speed autos. He also asked if he wanted the Cummins in a 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton My guess is he was misinformed by the dealer... .
