Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 5 speed manual leak

How hard is it to replace the rear seal on a 5 speed manual trans? It seams fairly simple but that thinking has got me in trouble before.

2wd? The output shaft seal (front of the driveline) is very easy. Remove driveline, tap seal out with chisle, drive in new seal, reinstall driveline.

As long as it really is the shaft seal..... the shifter seal will trail oil down to many places and mimic many leaks.
