I would like to know who to contact about a 5 speed manual conversion kit to a 6 speed. How much will it cost and is it worth the expense? I am wondering if it will give me a better power range and better fuel mileage pulling a 30 ft. fifth wheel. I sometimes have trouble going to Arizona in December bucking a southwest wind with the high trailer. Thought the truck might pull easier and better fuel economy if I had another gear to select from.

1994 5speed manual, regular cab, Jacobs brake, air suspension, stock engine with 69000 miles. :-laf

You can contact Blumenthals in Oaklahoma. Talk to Kieth and he will set you up with everything you would need. If you have any questions about the install landline me. I have done quite a few changeovers. 1-800-575-0229... ... ..... Brad

I got mine from These guys. It came with a new transmission, so it was expensive. As far as pulling it's excellent, much better than the 5/sometimes 4 speed NV4500. By the time all was said and done it cost over 5K with drive shaft mods. I plan on keeping my truck for a long time, so it's cheaper than a new one. I still have my 4500 4 speed, I can either sell it or put it in my Jeep, so you can recoup some expense there.

He is. But since they're not making them anymore I'd imagine it'll be getting tough to find them anywhere else as well. I'd think it's gotta be getting down to used ones only and few and far between at that. Dan should have everything else required for the conversion though.
