Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 5 speed ?

If I overfill my trans like the 6sp guys do will it help the grind I get trying to speed shift into 3rd gear. Yes I know its a truck trans. How much to add will be helpful. Ponz

It might help a bit but not as much as your probably hoping. The synchros are most likely going bad. Mine does this, and others too, untill the truck/trans is warmed up a bit.
