My truck was a year old in July 2000 and I've already put over 50,000 miles on it! I have had no trouble at all and in fact all I've done is put a set of front disk brake pads on at 48,000 miles and I replaced my tires at that time too. I change my oil and filter at 3,000 mile intervals and use Valvoline premium blue 2000 with the approved Cummins filters for both the oil and fuel. The fuel filter is changed at 15,000 mile intervals. Rear differential fluid is changed every 25,000 miles and ATF fluid is changed at that time also. I haven't changed the antifreeze yet but will soon. My engine uses no oil and runs stronger everyday. I drive mostly in rural areas now, at 50-70 mph and I consistently average right at 20 mpg. The first 35,000 miles was mostly heavy towing on the interstate, between California and Missouri, with weights averaging around 15,000 lbs and that's why I had the trans modified and had the DD injectors installed (DD III's originally). The air bags really helped too, with the heavy "tongue" weights. This is my first Dodge truck and my first diesel engine and I feel I made a very good choice. Now that I'm not towing anymore I intend to start "BOMBING" again! I miss my Diesel Dynamics stage III injectors!!! Sam

I only have bout 12,300 miles or so, had it since March 30, 2000. Lovin it everyday, no prblems yet other then a burnt out taillight!

Turned 20,000 miles on the one year mark and I have loved driving(almost)every mile! I have never owned a pick-up truck before, only SUV's, but this thing is just the NUTS! I don't know why I got this fancy CD / Stereo, though, because I am perfectly content to ride around with the windows down, listen to the beast up front and when lucky... get a little whif of Diesel Exhaust every now and then. .

After some inital problems when new I've pulled our 17,500 fifth wheel 17,000 miles trouble free from the east to the west coast. My truck does nothing but pull the fifth wheel. Durning the winter months it don't move. I bought my truck to work and that it does well.

Gotcha beat, Sam, pushing 55,000 miles in the old Rock Bucket. Disappointed in the factory brakes - 35,000 miles and gone. Of course, there's my fuel filter story, but that was my own ignorance.
Otherwise, it is a supreme truck. Starts every time in two revs or less, hauls *** (mine), hauls loads, scares idiots from pulling in front of me, and puts a smile on my face every day.
BTW, I heard we should be changing our coolant more often because the pH goes down and causes corrosive activity. Anyone else heard this?
Happy rattling, Joe #ad

Year old last August 30,000 miles. Had the transmission reflashed and it runs great now. Shell rotella every 5,000. Michelin factory tires look like they have another 20,000 left, well maybe 10,000 anyway. Brakes are good and it steers great.

I thought I would add to the postive post. I have had my truck since Oct last year. It had 38,000 miles on it when I got it. It now has 47,000. I have changed the oil round 5,000 each time. I use Valvoline Premium Blue and FleetGuard filters. I haven't had any trouble with the truck.

I think we need to have more positive post so new comers don't think that all Dodge TD are bad trucks.

My fuel mileage has been good. Highest ave 22. 2, Lowest ave 16. 9, over all ave 19. 9 in 17 tanks of diesel. This is based on my records that I enter into a program that I wrote. This is mixed driving. The last couple of tanks have 4x4 driving on it. I live out and the snow and ice have been bad.

New Sept '98 , 51,000 on it now. Great truck, wish I had a little better MPG. Only minor stuff broke so far. , still using the original brakes and tires. Delo 15-40 and cummins filters every 6 or 7 000 . I guess I can only go about another 449,000 till the BIG trip to cummins.
