omg... I'm still shaking, had to let off at 50psi tonight after re-doing laser cut delivery valves on an HX-35 with 18cm housing:eek: :--) barked it pretty hard, and "thought" i smelled coolant . . but thank God no head gasket blew!Oo. is this a new record for a stock HX-35??

I've hit 48psi with my 12cm2 housing. But with egt's as hot as they are, I've probably melted the housing out to a larger size. :D

I had hit 48 a couple of times with my old HX-35/16. But there was a hole lot of smoke still even with that boost. Then I switched to the Piers Super HX-40/16 and with no change in fueling there was just a gray smoke and at only 38 PSI. It isn't boost that burns the fuel it oxygen that burns the fuel. Running the HX-35 to this boost level hirts performance.

Drawson is right, running that much boost, anything over 38lbs (I think) for that matter, is creating an intake charge that is just too hot to be of any benefit. Way out of the HX35's efficiency range.

Greg, I hit 48 at the Sacto drags, that's why I quit. My egt's were close to 1800 with the stock 12cm. No mo fo me till I get more mods.
