What other mods can I do to my truck to get it to this hp level without injecting drugs? I know I need to fire-ring the head and re-work the transmission to hold the horsepower. Also I could swap out my #6 for a #0 plate. Still, the 0 wouldn't get me to 500hp.

I don't have any immediate plans to do any more bombing. Can't afford the investment in parts or any unforeseen repair bills :{

Just curious because the day is coming when I'll want to put a true beast on the streets :D

i would say pump work and a different turbo twins would be ideal you are probably over 400 as is. depending on which turbo or how much boost you plan to run you dont need to ring the head, but definatly get the whole transmission with billet shafts

Thanks for the input. I know I'm beating a dead horse and touching on a controversial subject, but what's the best twin setup i. e. quick on bottom end and beast on top. Also, what are my options for bigger injectors than the Diamond B 370s?

After a set of twins, I've got a guy who does excellent pump work :D

check out industrial injection . com for some BIG hogged out 370's.

Get some pump work done by a pro (not some dude with a grinder and a file)

Retime it to Secret Squirrel race specks. Build a transmission and do the twin turbo thing or one good single

cumminsnbabes,

If you had a 5 speed truck (215hp pump) you would be at or very close to 500 HP w/ a 0 plate.

There are a few things you be thinking about like what to do next ect but first thing is if you want 500 then you need to build further than that cause 500 won't suit you... ... been there done that!

I see you have a converter and V/B, that will last a while but eventually you'll have to go back in for a 5 or 6 clutch Direct-O/D and maybe a tighter converter and a billet input shaft. Next would be the O-Ring deal and that's not too bad if you can do the labor yourself, you just have to find someone to deck the head and O-Ring it going back with studs and a . 010 over gasket or so, then build a set of Twins using your 40 as the top turbo and use a 3B or a B2 as the bottom, once that is done then it's time to play with the pump to get all you can out of it, once your there you can either get a bigger set of injectors like Green Machine was talking about(I run them) or get your 370 honed, then you could look at turning that 180 up(you can get 550 cc's out of one) or go with a 215(600 or so cc's) or a racepump(750cc's) I see no reason you couldn't make 650 hp with a 180 pump but that is just me.

Thanks for the input guys. The info has been great. Sorry I haven't been around to chat-had a pretty rough weekend. Right now I'm wishing I was out of college and had a job to support this addiction.

Again, another controversial subject- who does the best transmission work? What about laser cut dv's- are they necessary

Right now my list is- intercooler boots, transmission/drivetrain, head work, twins, honed 370s, race pump in that order.

Thanks again,

Miles

That's a loaded question. Just do a search here, and call the vendors. You can see in my sig as to what I have, and love it. :D Great warranty on top of that. Dave will treat you good. :D

Both are loaded questions, on the DV's I ran them on my 180 pump when I was milking it out but if you get a real pump you will not like them on the street, if I ran . 022's or Lasers either in my pump you cannot drive it on the street as you will have a trail following you, so I run stock 181's.

Thanks again for all the replies, guys. I always enjoy hearing from people who are far more educated on the CTD than I am. If anyone has anymore thoughts or suggestions, keep 'em cummin.
