Competition Where to find truck pulls???

Competition Woodburn Dragstrip Diesel this weekend?????

I talked to Cmonroe last night. His 13. 8sec 3/4T truck (#2only 12V 5sp single turbo) dynoed at 506 HP/1113FTLB at 5350ft of elevation UNCORRECTED!!!!!!:--):--) ~545hp corrected:rolleyes:

After driving to denver and feeling the performance difference at altitude I am impressed.

Good job buddy! that's some really good wrench turnin.

BTW,

He's running a 913 Piers p-pump, BIG injectors, Cam, head, exhaust, and H2E with a SBC MU 13-125 ConFE and custom centerforce pressure plate from Peter at Southbend Clutch.

Peter has been instrumental to both of us for getting the TORQUE to the ground.

Way to go Cmonroe!!!!!!!

Mark, he is planning on coming down south to our Mopar event so I will get to see first hand just how well this big dog runs.

He mentioned getting you to come too. Coming?:D

Congrats again on the numbers. Totally awesome what these little B's will do.

I made a mistake. . he ONLY runs 13. 9;) :p :D

Corrected hp is 587!!!

Yes, so far I'm planning on coming along. hopefully it'll work out.

I went down to Kenendale here in Fort W. on wed for test-n-tune.

I was running 2. 07 60ft's and 9. 20 in the 1/8th at 77mph. Nuthin like Craig but I was stoked for a 6spd DUALLY!

I cheated. . used a bit of laughing gas;) WOW, what a rush. I smoked 3 different z-28 camaro's by a full tenth in the 60ft. I only ran 9. 6s on diesel with 2. 2 60ft.

Kenendale

I would very much like to watch the truck run at Kenendale if I get a chance. Are you going to be at the Sept 21 dyno shoot out in Louisville? Thanks Jim K

I can't wait to take this thing down to sea level and see what it will do. I'm getting 1. 8 and 1. 9 60 foots. It's running the eigth mile in 8. 8 at almost 79 mph and high 13's in the quarter at over 5400 feet. What do you think is realistic at sea level?:) And Mark you better come along for this trip to Georiga.

cmonroe,

Sea level should help a bit, but I will be as interested as you to see how much. My 12v has run a best 9. 1 in the 1/8th with a 1. 88 60-foot in 4WD. This with a stock TC and modified valve body. I KNOW I am not anywhere near your power level. My estimate is 400 rwHP. I'm anxious to get back to the track with my new TC.

What do you weigh? At Muncie, I scaled 6530 with me in it.

Jeff is out with the drag truck and Dakota today. He added an ATS TC to the drag truck (in Muncie, he was running a stock TC which puked lockup after two passes:eek: ) so it feels like he should pick up a decent amount of speed from the "test launches". The Dakota hopefully will pick up a tenth or two with the new Bully Dog exhaust. I have family here from overseas so I had to pass on going :( :( :( but I'll pass along the results when I hear from Jeff.

Don't get too excited about sea level. It doesn't seem to have as much effect on diesels. This is something I have been pursuing for a long time now. I just haven't had the chances to do any data acquisition on it yet.

I ran a 13. 80 with my 5-speed at 600 ft and a 13. 9 at 3000 ft. I'd like to get some concrete evidence. In theory "thin air" isn't the issue since we are increasing the atmosphere with the turbo chargers in the engine (BAR). It seems the lack of O2 in the system would be the reason for supressed performance. A shot of Nitrous should cure that, right? Lot's of questions, no answers:(

Well I won't run NO2 on this truck or any other drugs for that matter. Several people with these built diesels are showing close to a second in the elevation changes. Look at the article on Christians truck that was posted yesterday. I'm not saying I'm going to gain much. I'm expecting 3 to 4 thenths and not all from elevation change. I only had 2 hours of drive time on the new turbo and clutch when I ran 13. 9's all three runs at truckfest. The turbo has gained more boost and I'm use to the clutch now.

By the way I competed in my first sled pull last night. Only got one run on my balding cooper tires but managed to pull the 40k sled 262'. I was pumped I could no believe how easy it was to get that thing moving:D This is one addictive sport, expect to see more of us in the future at these events. Seven of us pulled for the first time last night and we all pulled at least 251'. Oh by the way no slipping at all with new South Bend Clutch. I was off the clutch in about 3 seconds and then pushed her to the rev limiter at about 4200 rpm. Peter if your reading this it felt great!:)
