Competition 507 HP/1045 lbft FOR THE DAY

Well I finally got around to the dyno today to check out the new mods. I disabled the wastegate for the dyno and pulled 507/1045 running 50psi of boost. I got home and decided to get the G-TECH out and try a few runs before hooking the wastegate back up. Best was a 14. 01@ 104mph. On the second run when I slowed down I noticed some steam out the right rear corner of the hood. A quick inspection revealed a blown head gasket up at the front with the water shooting into the radiator at a pretty good clip. I nursed it home... about 2 miles and will have a fun weekend... . 14. 01 (albeit on a G-tech) is great for a 6-speed truck with that power. You must be shifting the heck out of it. At 530hp, our truck was running 13. 30's (it's an auto), so you're not far behind at all.

Abusing the heck out of it would be a better description of what I am doing to it. Who needs a clutch??... . CJ

I think this, and o-ringing the head would be a great TDR write up.
