Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 53 Block I think.

My friend has a 99 3500, Injector pump last week end. And we knew that he had a water leak for about two months now. When he pull his backhow it will get hot. Also it willl have to have water about every week. Anywhere from one to three or four quarts. He had the radiator taken off and cleaned once. Didn't do any good. Well we seen some water marks on the right side of the engine the other day. There was a little antifreeze on the block right behind the exhaust pipe. Is that the place that they crack. One other thing, A site where he might get a new block? He would love to have a cummin new block. But I wonder if he can affored it.

its usualy under the exhaust manifold, maybe thats what you meant.
