Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 53 block

Does anyone have a pic of where the dreaded 53 is on the block . I have looked all over and I cant find any #s.

The only # i can find is a small letter A on pass. front lower block neer oil pan.

Look just below the injection pump on the drivers side of the block. It's approx. 1" above the flange on the oil pan. The numbers are about an inch tall. You will need a flash light & you will have to stuff your head up in there to see it but if you have a 53 block it would be hard to miss.
