53 block

I am thinking of buying a 98 as my 95 chassis is beyond repair. Can anyone tell me where the 53 is stamped into the block ( which side of the motor) Were all the newer 24 valves made with this defective block ?

Front bottom corner of the block just above the oil pan.

I could be on either side of the block. Look at the driver's side first, under the injection pump.
