Ok guys dont chew me out, this 98 I bought has a 54 block in it that looks like a storm block. Whats the deal with them are they prone to cracking too?

Not that I am aware of. I believe it was only a limited number of 53 series blocks that were cracking out through the freeze plug holes on the side of the block.
