FYI - they're out of stock on that tank. They're guesstimating 3-4 weeks to get stock back. If ya want one, might want to get in line.

I went with the 38 gallon aft axle instead. Hopefully it'll ship out early next week.

David, I have the 38 gallon aft-axle tank, it was the first thing I installed when I bought my truck in '97. It's nice to be able to go over 1000 miles before filling up! I have never had a problem with it, installation was straight forward, and I'm very happy with it. I think you'll be impressed with the quality of the hardware, the fit & finish, etc.
Just thought you'd like to know.
Andy

I was hoping to receive mine this past week however, it sounds as if it won't be shipped until June 12th.

Blue Goat, Dave Perea has the 54 gal. replacement tank installed in his Ram... he has since early April. Dave told me the installation went very well (he has a '98 12v QC 2500 4x4), with everything fitting exactly as stated. I was underneath his Ram for at least 10 minutes checking every square inch of the tank, installation, and any possible interference with transmission removal etc. Awesome product! #ad

Also, do a search on this topic, there was another thread on this a little over a month ago (Products Forum). In addition, Joe Donnelly installed one of these tanks in his '97 Ram... see page 142 in the latest issue of the TDR for a very comprehensive article on the tank and installation.

What did you do with your spare?

Not sure yet. I'm sure I'll figure out something. It's not even in the truck currently, I don't worry about it too much commuting to work with 6 tires on the ground anyway.

Looks like I ordered mine just in time (5/8) through one of their installers in CT. I got the web site price and it should be going in later this week.
