I talked with Tom Carlin at Edge today about the 555 Juice. Tom became the President of Edge Products in May of 2004. Tom acknowledged that Edge had really dropped the ball on the 555 Juice, and asked me to let all of the 555 owners how he realizes they blew it and apologizes for it. He told me that Edge now has 18 Engineers on staff and next week they are going to redirect their efforts to the 555 Juice with Attitude! Oo. I know, we've heard this before, however I have never heard it from the President of Edge, Tom. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He was really sincere and I think his word is good!

Tom said that Edge is shooting for the end of May for the release of the 555 Juice with Attitude, however couldn't promise because of the way R&D goes. Again he was very sincere and I think he will do everything in his power to avoid getting another "Black Eye"!

For you 600 owners, Tom said they are just finishing the Hot Juice this week! You luck dogs, you! :D

I know alot of 555 owners had chosen other competitors products because of the "one more month" response, and I can't say that I blame you.

For us "Die Hard Edge Fans" the end of the wait may be in sight! Oo. I have been sold on Edge in the past because of the Fantastic Customer Sevice and great products. I have no doubt that the 555 Juice with Attitude will also perform as past products and have many features not expected.

I'm not holding my breath on the date, however it was a breath of fresh air to talk with Tom the President of Edge Products! Tom, thank you for your time, concerns and your sincerity.

Wish I could get all excited like I once was over the news that Edge was working on the juice for my truck. After being on "the list" for over 2 years(was on the list before I had the truck), call after call to Edge and one story after another... At one point I was told that I was going to be a beta tester... then the next week it was like I just had a bad job interview ending with the "don't call us, we will call you" line. When I got word that they had moved on to the 600 box I figured it was just never going to happen... So I went out and picked up the TST. It's been all smiles since then.

Bob I hope they do finish it up and you finally get what you have waited so long for. I just get the feeling that Edge is getting too big for it's own good. Working on too many things at one time without taking care of previous projects. I also see after their release of the 600 boxes that their quality and customer service is also taking a back seat to their sales, marketing and racing team. Sorry to say that it looks like it is no longer about the customer and all about the $$$ now... and that is the exact opposite of what I had always heard about Edge.

The only problem I see now is that the bar is SOOO high now with the TST topping 180hp, and the BullyDog DL'er now able to hit 200HP...

It seems that a little ol' 120hp "juice" from EDGE will be too little, too late

PS - It will be interesting how high the HP will be on the HOT Juice

What did they say about us poor guys with the 250hp SO motor? No offense anyone, but if anyone needs more umph Id say it would be us... Im getting soooo tired of this company " Its comming out next month" Lies !!! now they expect me to believe May 05. . No thanks edge you lost my $800. I hope a rep from your company reads this. .

I am ready to buy from someone else !! any suggestions ? I have been so focused on edge I havent looked at anything else . . I like the concept of in truck control and a digital monitor(instead of gagues). . And sorry , no Banks! I have read to much bad sh-t about that company.

CrimeFighter, read the thread on Quad's new Xzillaraider. Sounds like they got it right the first time out of the chute. And a "monitor" is in the works. I too have been waiting on Edge to supply a product that I could have confidence in. Now with all the broken promises (it was supposed be out LAST SPRING), my confidence level is near zero.

i love the juice with attitude just the right amount of power without overdoing it. you will be very happy for those who waited :)

I think you and I are representative of the market Edge has their eyes on. There are plenty of owners out there who want "just the right of power without overdoing it" and they relaize that. 250 HP would be nifty if was interested in upgrading everything else that the 250 was going to shred!

BUT then the question comes up of COST

I can sell you 10 apples for $10

But My buddy sells only 6 apples for $10

I know you can only eat the 6 apples, But why not get the others for later use???? and for free? --- But show me a discount for only buying 6 apples. . I would listen -- JMHO

The only thing I can say about the EDGE is that the attitude would be great for those that do not yet have guages... And the future stuff like a back-up camera looks pretty neat

Does this mean they really were not working on it when the kept telling everyone next month... next month.....

I think Quad is going to get my business.....

I hear ya Tomey...

BUT... . can I trust myself not to eat the last 4 apples even if I'm FULL

(Then the next day my gastointestinal tract is yellin' at me for eating 10 apples)

The key words here are "trust myself"!

I knew someone would say that -- i have a habit of doing that, Full... but just ONE more piece of pie can't hurt, right?

At least EDGE's 6 apples will be really nice ones, eh? :-laf

Hey maybe thats why the world is so FAT :--)

I think before the real reason everyone was so hyped about the edge box coming out is that there really weren't any good choices for the reasonably conservative guys that want something reliable and code free. The tst has been there for the extreme guys, but commonly has problems, codes, reflashes or something going wrong. The EZ caused people to worry about excessive pressure, and the bddl hadn't really come out yet. Well now that the bddl is out, and the xzillaraider is out - I don't really see any need/reason for the edge juice - not to mention my bitterness toward them after being strung along for so long. I personally think it's stupid business-wise that edge would dedicate that much staff to the 305 engines. I have a hard time believing they'd dedicate that many resources toward a platform that was only made for 2 years. Not much ROI.

I LOVE MY XZILLARAIDER!! :)

Edge is having problems with there Ford boxes too

Dad ordered a new Juice/Attitude and the truck is surging real bad so they sent him a new box, not as bad but still doing the same problem!

I sypathize Lightman ... . but let's see

On 3/12/05 Crimefighter posted a huge fake out called something like "News on the Juice 03/04". All he wanted was to know if anyone had any news. So far 594 people have looked at that post probably figuring he had some release news.

Now for kicks let's say that 25% of them buy and let's pick $400 (pulled out of my a**) that's $60,000. And all were talking about is TDR members and guests ... . considering the whole ownership community out there, I bet Edge sees some big numbers on the horizon. Not to mention developing a devoted customer base that continues t purchase Edge products for their next rig. It's a big picture.

keep in mind the $$$ EDGE has lost re-doing boxes more R&D and shipping out new boxes!!! thats alone would sink some small company

i don't think they wanted them to fail !!!

for those of you that own a company i am sure you understand!!

And "cost" for each Edge Product (not considering R&D) is maybe $5. 00.

I paid $800 or something like that for mine. Excluding R&D that is still a pretty hefty profit margin. Let's say your box is a lemon. Edge tosses $5 in the trash (costs more to fix it) and spends $10 to ship it back to you. Box now "cost" $20 and I still paid $800. Edge will be in business for a while.

SHyans

i am not trying to start anything here! but

it takes A LOT of $$$ to run and keep a business open, overhead, building, employes, insurance not to mention what uncle sam takes and the list goes on and on!

i bet you don't own a business??

Oh I know, I'm not either.

This is no place for a lecture on business economics, so my point was merely based on the fact that PM (left over cash once the costs of production are accounted for) is the basic foundation of business. Of course there are many other costs associated. I was just focusing on the PM issue to make a point about how much capital they have to "play" with.

I "BET" you leave a lot of cash behind at gambling establishments ;)
