I kind of wondered about the weight, it appeared to be over. The dealership that sold us the camper runs a F350 single wheel (19") to deliver the units with. They are within 50mi. of Lancaster where the campers are made, and Lance will deliver these large units with a 3/4t ! I wouldn't try it with mine though.

Our cabin is in British Columbia about 80 or so miles north of Vancouver.

Thanks for the tips on the hold downs.

There's no "one size fits all" answer to a question like this - everyone has their own interests and normal operations/activities while "camping"...

My wife and I have had our '88 24 foot Kit fiver since new - we've traveled and stayed for several months at a time on coast-to coast trips - usually just the 2 of us, at times the daughter and grandkids with us.

I like our setup for the generally adequate size and manueverability, and yet the fact that virtually ALL canpgrounds can handle our size. We tend to spend a significant amount of time inside the rig, sometimes dictated by weather changes, and our setup is quite comfortable in those cases - TV, microwave, fulltime eating/sleeping/lounging areas that don't force us to manually convert an eating area into a sleeping one, etc.

Imagine someone like us, trying THIS in a cabover camper:

But that's just us - those who travel to get out away from the campground to see surrounding points of interest, and primarily use the camper only to eat and sleep, have different goals and wants than we do - so how could we even attempt to advise others on the "best" type of camping setup?

You have to outline and determing YOUR personal notion of what constitutes "camping" or RV travel - then get the setup that best fits YOUR needs and expectations...

SRehberg-

Seeing where you are from, I took a gamble on the cabin location of possibly being Arnold where ours is. Of course, I guess that would be too close for you. British Columbia has got to be beautiful. Lots of good fishing I bet.

Gary-

It is so true that "no one size fits all". I actually know people that have both just because of the different advantages. If I spent more time on the road, I too would probably be looking for a bigger solution.

dresslered, Arnold is a really nice area, it would be great to have a cabin there. Sure a lot closer. :) I hope to get some use out of the camper, now I just need to find a truck.

... who's that setting the table? ;)

UNH - I assume that's a compliment - it's my youngest daughter - and she works out regularly and is in VERY good shape - if you could see one of her modeling pics, you'd have to put yer keyboard in the dryer to dry the drooling off... ;) :D
