Well, getting home at 2:30am and just waking up sucks...

I don't think the beans and the TMTT rice had anything to do with the "bad gas", I'M PLACING MY BETS ON THE DEVILED EGGS AND CLAM FRITTERS... :D

Had to drive home with the heater on high and the windows open.

Glad to see everyone! What a GREAT group of people we have here! Too bad it's once a year...

Things learned...

I'll add some later, need to go take a nap...

What Did I Learn:

Things that I learned getting to and at the 5th anual Seefood challenge:

1. Hammer is good at taking pictures while driving and talking to the truckers that were talking about my truck on the C. B. as we went wizzing by them at however fast Hammer said we were going. (he says 90 but I find it hard to believe)

2. Crossing a Dam in your truck is really cool until a big rig is coming the other way.

3. The opening between the 2 buildings is very easy to miss once you pass it you say to yourself "hey there it was" but it was also kool to see Signal73 Jim hanging out of the truck saying "HEY THE TURN WAS BACK THERE"

4. Getting a special parking spot rocks.

5. Clam Fritters are great. (along with all the rest of the food)

6. Their is someone in this world that can make good cornbread.

7. The Beans cause gas that can make a grown man scream "Who the H__L was that" and run in the opposite direction as the fire gets bigger for a second or 2 and it still gets talked about all night long.

8. Jerry Garcia isnt Dead and he owns a lot of kool toys but cant afford a turkey frier burner to make his popcorn.

9. Yes a chrome tip does look awesome ontop of the burn barrel stack and when you run out of wood you will go dumpster diving to get anything to burn.

10. Having no grid heaters causes a lot of somke on startup.

11. Their are way too many Deer in CT. , Ny. , and PA.

12. And last but not least someone can get drunk, get sick, throw up and have a hangover all in 45 min.

All in all I had a great time ant I will certainly be back next year. Thanks to everyone that made it happen.

Rob

P. S. Keep the "What did I learn at the SEEfood challenge" thread going.

Send a cop and a fireman to steal skids for the burn barrel.

You can't run 100 yards in a gym that is 90 yards long...

What does a black man contribute towards food??? "Death by Chocolate"

My first SEEFood Challenge was great. Hammer's truck and the 6BT Dakota were really kool. Finally got to see Jengle's truck, which is pretty cool itself. Got to meet lots of new people, enjoyed some awesome seafood. Enjoyed seeing all the Coffee Nites folks again, as always. ToolMan was a huge help getting the woodgrain kit in my interior. Looks really good! And holy cow, my truck is actually on the internet! I've been meaning to get some pictures up for quite a while now. Thanks, Hammer! And Signal Jim lent me a hubcap, so I didn't feel like a moron riding around with three. Thanks, Jim! Betsey was pretty impressed by the turnout. It was a bit too cold outside for her, though. Anyway, SEEFood Challenges are pretty darn good. Is it next fall yet? Oo.

Man oh man what a kick *** laugh-a-thon. It was just flat out awesome to see old and meet anew. Whew where to start, O. k we can start with a few what I learneds,

  • Well I guess Dakotas can be swapped , grafted , and lifted ... and all for the greater good!

  • KDP just flat out suck

  • You need a longer gym to dash in

  • Are Cops robbers like Plumbers have the most leaks in a house??

  • Jerry garcia ain't dead ... he just has been trapped under an oddball carwreck for quite some time

  • Buy a vp44 and get a m00se call for free while supplies last

  • there is a reason they are called DEVILD EGGS

  • Champagne makes cool fire balls

  • I forgot I had a High idle

  • You can eat and blow your back out doing so

  • Advil and beer sucks

  • What do ya get when ya cross a Fireman and a Cop on a Minibike???

  • I now know what a clam fritter can do for the soul

  • Don't come rollin' into a prodominently Dodge oriented meet blasting "Like a Rock" ... because nobody gives a crap 'cept the Chevy guy :-laf

What I learned

1. Never appropriate skids that were used to stack quickrete. My sinus' are clogged solid.

2. Never make Jim laugh while riding in your truck. My kids insist that something died inside my truck, I can't smell a thing due to #1 above :(

3. Never smoke out the local Johnny Law, he can be very mean and nasty and use a lot of bad words :-laf He was exiting the parking lot at the stop sign. He told me to Get the F out of here and back to where I came from.

I had a lot of fun!!!!!!! ***********Thanks again MillerTim... I owe ya :D

Thanks Tmtt and Mark!!!

Tim W.

It was a good time and definitely worth the drive. Good food and good company.

I was a little under the weather. I was loaded up on allergy and cold meds. If I had brought a cot I would have been horizontal for most of the day.

I'm glad I decided to stick it out instead of staying home and complaining about my allergies. :{

The Troy curse struck again. Senior was on his way home and hit a deer. :( But at least he didn't get stranded. And the good news is that our friend at the local body shop is going to fix it up right. :p

I really enjoyed the unofficial car show. And next time I'll be sure to bring some firewood.

-----------

Oh... speaking of methane. .

Bob and I stopped for fuel. I was about six feet from his truck and I thought that he had hit some roadkill. When I told him that he had run over something rotten, his face lit up with pride. :D

Things I learned at SeeFood

6, Keep tabs on your Exhaust Tips and Tab that KDP!!! :--)

5, Jerry has cool cars :D Even if the engines are shorter than a "P" Pump

4, 3 Cylinder Idle is hot, Just ask Smarty

3, Bring wood, even if it's "Not Necessary", as it is necessary

2, When at SeeFood, you should eat the food, so that if a touble at home call comes, you cna go w/out guilt and or hunger pains

1, Good friends make for Light Hearted Wrenching :D (Even if the guy who did the VP44 should have tighend up all the lines and bolts :-{} :{ )

I want to do this again, When is the next time? Indy '07 is coming in 8 Months :) Moose00

Few items of interest

10-If you ride a scooter down derby av, expect to have some motorized competition.

9-Jerry Garcia has 3 cylynder idle also, well, because he only has 3 cylynders

8-you cannot see deer blood and guts on a 98 flame red sport. Only on the wheelwells and tires.

7-I now know where the term "giggle gas" comes from. you giggle, then pass gas :-laf

6-If JSienkowski brings a covered dish to PA to "fawl brawl" next year, they will have to re-name it "Fowl Bowel"

5-You dont have to dial a 1-900 number to hear a sexy chick talk.

4-If you have your windows open in the summer and hear the call "RED ROCKET, RED ROCKET, BACK IN YOUR POCKET" you dont need to look out the window to see who it is walking by, just expect it to be Chris.

3-$80 worth of pallets sure burns up quick.

2-when you walk by someone in a stupor and they say "right Jim", your supposed to say "Hell yeah, sure bob!"

1-last but not least, man o man do I feel bad for the duramaxes of litchfield county now   :-laf

Man and what a friggin mess trying to clean all that Ford Ranger inspired deer slaughtering up today. Not only was it hard to see on the paint, but, when your at the car wash making an attempt to remove it after the SEEfood challenge please remember just how close the nearest restroom really is. Mrs. Toolman's Jambayla was oh so good going down(all 5 bowls of it and the cornbread least I forget) add on the keilbasa and kraut then Never, never, leave the confine of home to clean up the deer slaughtering. Its a job which as of this writing still isn't finished... ... ... Andy
