Anyone tell me where's the best place to get complete kit, 5th gear nut and upgraded mainshaft. I saw one on some web site but didn't mark it and as usual can't find it again. And what is a "fully splined" mainshaft? Is that a dif creature and needed for high HP? Any and all remarks about this are apreciated. . Thanks JohnG

I bought mine from Standard Transmission and Gear . They can set you up whatever you need.

The fully splined mainshaft is as the name suggests fully splined under fifth gear. High horsepower applications or the tendancy to lug the motor in overdrive can/will strip the inside of the gear out because it's only splined half way through. The standard trans mainshaft has a keeper mechanism that will prevent the nut from backing off as well.
