I'm not a sports car kinda guy,, but seeing some of these on the road would be awesome.

I am in no way a chevy guy but

I have always liked the Camero's and the one's above will never compare to the older ones, I would like something that has a big v-8 and is thirsty and will smoke the tires for blocks not the castrated enviro friendly v-6 powered "sports" car they make now, very sad how "sports" cars have evolved.

Sweet pics. But csevers makes an excellent point. Until we all get off our duffs and voice our displeasure(or vote) against the ECO-Nazis and misguided leftists who have our auto industry in an emissions stranglehold, we are probably living in the last days of performance ANYTHING.

That said, I'd buy a Camaro like the one pictured..... IF it had a genuine pushrod V-8.....

Well, it definately has '69 Camaro influence. The red one has the RS thing going, the shape of the frontal area is definately '69 Camaro as well.

The profile is first generation as well except for the rear spoiler. The rear valence is Corvette and not as nice as it could have been. They used a similar (Corvette) effect to mess up the surface on the side. It seems GM thinks it's cool to hang plastic on the sides of vehicles these days. Funny how the Avalanche looks so much better now that they got rid of the junk.

As for the old vs new thing, my '69 with a 420 horse 454 and 4 speed is fun to drive BUT a fule injected 350 and a 6 speed would be as fun if not more because it would HANDLE! (and get better milage).

Linda and I rented xXx (the action/adventure feature with Vin Diesel) a couple weeks ago. It's a little over the top but pretty well done. The DVD features were very well done and I do recommend the movie, it's entertaining. Anyway, one of the DVD features was about the new GTO coming from Pontiac. 350 horsepower 350 v-8 (not the old one) and a 6 speed manual trans. It is a new car, not a throw back like the Camaros above (but the Camaros are nice). It can be viewed here.
