So there I was, driving home from a week of the truck being in the shop when suddenly fifth gear just goes away... How aggravating. I just had "The Power Shop" in Enumclaw, WA do a few little upgrades and fix an oil leak. First time in my history that I trusted anyone to work on my truck (at least doing things I could do myself). But we just sold our house of 18 years and my shop is gone so I had to farm it out. They installed the Banks monster exhaust, turbine housing, and exhaust brake, along with a #10 fuel plate, 3K GSK, KDP fix and upgraded intercooler hoses. Oh, and a AFE stage one air filter. The before HP was 217 RWHP and 461Ft. Lbs. torque. This was on a apparently stock truck (K&N drop in air filter and straight through muffler were the only mod's they could detect). And my truck just turned 208K a week or so ago... Guess I was asking for the fifth gear problem. The truck is now at 294 RWHP and 676 Ft. Lbs. of torque.
Ah well, another few days in the shop and it'll be up and running again.
