I have posted a similar message at the Towing, Hauling & RV section of the TDR forum. Then I got to thinking that maybe I should put my question here as this is a more active section. Hope it is OK. Here goes:
I remember seeing a recent ad for a device that, should you start to drive off without the hitch latched properly, keeps the 5th-wheel trailer from slamming down onto the truck side rails and causing expensive, and embarrassing, dents in the truck. The device attaches to the hitch and has a retainer of some sort to catch and hold the trailer pin. Sounds like a good idea to me, but darned if I can think of the name of the device or know where to purchase it.
Do you know?
Glenn
