I've had one on my 98. 5 and then when I picked up my Y2K I bought another one for it. Good company to work with. Excellent quality. Shop around for best pricing. Camping world sells them for around the $600 range. I paid just a tad over $300 for mine. Just be careful what you clean them with. Don't use strong detergents on it.

Is this the aluminum tailgate seen in the Camping World catalog?

Is there a coating or something that comes off with strong detergent?
