5th wheel tail gates ?

Just returned from the maidan trip, All went well.



Need the Groups advice on tail gates for the First gen trucks. Which brand of 5er gates out there and pros and cons.

I dont use a tail gate. I have a BuiltRite V-Box instead.

I kept mine and remove it before I connect with the trailer and then reinstall it. The clearance between the truck and 5er with the tail gate down required an all most perfect allignment. My wife would have to lift it up when the truck backed into the pin with the hitch if we were at an angle. It frightened her so it was easier to remove it and get her away from hooking up.
