Have you guys heard of any 6. 0 Powerstrokes putting out 500hp at the wheels, with just a box? Had a guy with a 05 tell me he was...

It has got to be more than that, and was he using a box or a SCT programmer? Probably corrected HP

i had the exact same thing happen at the local napa ...

the local "expert" was telling everyone he had a 175 hp box on a 325 hp 6. 0 = 500 rwhp



i walked in and he puffed his chest and said "i think i can take you rex ... 500 horsepower baby"



everyone in napa agreed ... staff and customers



lesson time ...



we lined 'em up 500' down the road and 20 seconds later everyone had a lesson in dyno'd hp and "calculated hp"



i actually got to pull in front of him and smoke him good

The 6. 0 can get to about 4 bills with one of them fancy Custom SCT tunes, an intake and exhaust, but will need studs to hold together at that level. I have seen a 6. 0 QC 4x4 run 13's on just a tuner.

I seen an 03 make 512? or something around there. He was running a juice att. watermeth 25/75, and N2O. So it CAN be done with one chip.



After the run they poped the hood and were looking around to see if there were any rods sticking out of the block! Lots of confidence in the 6. 0.



After the dyno they went to the dragstrip and could bareley muster a 14. xx, that torqueshift transmission was impressive when it had to actually shift.

I really don't think it is putting out those numbers, it is running pretty good though. He has 22000 miles on it right now, says he has had no problems. I think he said he was boxed and has a controller. Exhaust sounds stock though. . I would love put him to the test with around ten thousand #s and Wolf creek pass...
