a buddy of mine with a 6. 0 had his truck quit the other day, bruoght it to the dealer and they said 2 of the injectors were bad ... replaced those..... then they had it hooked up to the computer and SAID the REST of them would fail soon and had to replace the other 6 :{ :{ to the tune of about 4k,,were they just blowin smoke up his @#$ or what,felt bad for the guy :confused:

truck is all stock for 140k

I don't even want to start talking about the 6. 0, but tell him to trade it in & avoid the heads cracking. The heads are expensive, but yes the injectors are too. When the injectors go bad on a 6. 0... the computer dumps more fuel to the other injectors to even out the band. This will usually overwork the injector that is picking up the slack & make it fail. My friend has had his truck in the shop more than he has driven it... no B. S.

Exactly!! I just did headstuds on one and the heads were cracked between the valves and the glowplug, replacing heads on a truck with 30K is just insane.
 
even though this probably doesnt help you much. the company i work for recently bought 4 of these trucks. within 20,000 miles two of them are sitting at the dealership with ford egaged in a lemon law battle and the other two have both had injectors and tubos replaced twice. yes i said twice :eek:
