This is a pretty blatant violation of US copyright laws

That thought never even crossed my mind when I posted the link. You're probably right about that.

When I bought my first diesel back in '81, it was for the simplicity of the diesel over the gas engines with all of their pollution controls. It looks like now the diesels are even more complicated than their gasoline powered relatives. Although very reliable and far superior to the PSD, the Cummins isn't too far behind as far as complicated goes. It's not that I can't grasp it and understand how it all works. The great thing about solid state controls is the ease of diagnostics with the right tools. The scarey part is the amount of things that can go wrong out in the middle of no-where. The very thing that makes diesels more socially acceptable might be what pushes them back out of the game.

That is one of the main reasons I bought one also. That and the fact they generally easier to work on.

It was a loarge factor when I was lookng for a truck prior to buying my '97. Although tighter to work on than the first gen trucks, the second gen. trucks are still much easier for most things than my previos '82 F-250 or my current '86 (plus one less head to remove doing a head gasket job).

Thanks to the "greenies"
