Ford front leaf springs-99? can't remember but not that early, they used the TTB crap

The TTB crap uses leaf springs as well. Leaf springs were used long before the coil springs were.

maybe higher capacity filters are being used... the less times you open up that filter cartridge, the less chance of external debris entering the clean side of the fuel sub system

I don't know about that. The micron rating has changed as well. 2 vs. 10, at least in some cases.

dpuckett, bmoeller. I just re-read this old thread and what I said. I re-read it and it was a big typo. Yes, the Ford had leaf springs early..... I don't remember what I meant.....

Cat has used the HUEI (hydraulic unit electronic injector) since the early ninetys and they never did work the bugs out of it after using it for about 15 years. They were forced out of it with the new emmissions. Even cat techs will tell you it was junk. I work on them daily and they ARE JUNK. Injector swaps yearly are a must with these engines. Engine life suffers greatly too do to higher soot levels and oil breakdown.
