I was on dodge.com building a new truck and next to the 6. 7 option there is a detail box. It states 325 h. p late avalability. I wonder if there tuning it down to 325 h. p to help with some of the issues the 350 h. p has been having.

Thats gotta be a typo... detuning it 25hp really isnt going to do anything. The problem is in the whole emissions system, not in how much power it makes...

According to Dodge Customer Service my G56 equipped truck is rated at 350 hp and 650 foot pounds of torque. They looked it up from the VIN.

hey guys i did not start this thread to debate what truck has what h. p torque. the facts are the auto pickups have 350/650 and the manuals have 350/610. I want to talk about them dropping the h. p to 325. according to dodge.com build your truck . next to the 6. 7 option hit on details and it says 325 h. p late availibily. I asked my dealer when the switch might accur he says june, not that he really knows. so i guess there going to tune it down a liitle to help with some of the issues they been having and help with fuel milege. the cab/chassis have less issues with less h. p.

Theres no reason to drop the hp rating IMO... whats it gonna accomplish? Nothin... its a typo. Keep in mind dealers really know very little. The dealer aint gonna know that hp ratings are gonna drop or raise 4 months before its supposed to happen. They wont know until just before they get a shipment of trucks with the revised ratings.

And there is no 325hp rating... CC trucks are 305/610 and pickups are 350/650 auto and 350/610 manual. Dont get any easier than that!!

As stated in previous post, I know dealers know very little. Iam not saying it is going to be tuned down, just relaying whats on dodge.com, so if anyone is in the market for a new truck such as myself we can try and get some answers whether this is true or not. To help with our dissision whether to buy now 350h. p or wait for 325h. p, if it is going to change. And by the way you guys that say less 25h. p does nothing to help with existing emissions issues and fuel mileage, then why is the c/c rated at 305/610? chryslers reason longevity and fuel mileage. There is far less issues with the c/c then the pickup. My current 07. 5 has 46000 miles on it and i like the the truck alot but i have had CEL issues not a big deal but a inconvenance, so 25 less h. p. same torque less emisson issues and better fuel economy , something to think about
