Look under the hood of a GM or FORD.

Shoulda seen under the hood of the 2019 F250 I had.... It didn't even look like an engine was there, It was just a huge mass of tubes, hoses, wiring and more tubes, hoses and wire. An absolute nightmare of a mess. I miss my 06' in regards to under the hood space but then there's not too much tinker with under there now in these new trucks other than filter changes.

Friends

Just thought I would share it took several days and startups to clear the CCV system disconnected trouble code. It would no clear with my Edge cst2. My thinking is the CCV pressure sensor is very sensitive and must take a while to reset or normalize.

As a side note, I dont think the tubing was the cause of the trouble code, but actually the restriction of the oil catch can internal swirl plumbing.

EDIT: As a side note, it took about three hours of engine operation to set the code AND the CEL did not light while running. Interesting as the CCV System operation has not been discuss as far as I'm aware, only servicing it.

Anyhoo, glad I got this mess behind me. The remote start function doesn't operate properly with a trouble code, starting ok, but shutting down after about two or three seconds. I use remote start a lot.

Cheers, Ron
