Hello Guys and Gals, I took the '05 in for warranty work yesterday and left with a duplicate ... '07 3500 SRW, SLT, 4x4, QC Long Bed, 6. 7, 6spd Auto. I have all of 112 miles on it now. I have read a lot of the post's on here. . both Pro and Con. I think it will give both owners and perspective buyers of the 6. 7 design to list your experiences.

Thanks

OK, my opinion... I feel the '07 is "lighter" in the way it drives, I miss the REAL cloth interior of the '05, The armrest where your elbow hits while driving went BACK to the '94 design, HARD as a ROCK! The seat seems "smaller" and HARD as a ROCK, (the '05 was like a Lazy Boy) the drivers window makes a "thud" when it tops out, it seems to "follow the road" more than the '05. It also feels like a much more "stiff" suspension.

NOW... I LOVE the 6spd Auto, the brakes ARE better, it has some HP but you MUST downshift to use/feel it,(not even close to the '05 Edje Juice w/ Attitude) I "heard the turbo for the first time today passing at 75mph (with a downshift) I am turning the EB, exhaust brake on, and leaving it on every time I use the truck.

I've had mine 2 months, have 8800 miles. Zero problems. Have pulled everything from 7k-20+K and have loved the aisen auto. Plenty of power for me and don't even have the 350hp version! (Not that it won't get the juice when the warranty is up)Truck is exceptionally quiet compared to the 04 both in engine noise and wind noise. I'm very happy with it. Mileage is 12-15 empty and 9-12 loaded. A little lower than the 04 but well worth it for the new transmission/e-brake and brakes. It rides better empty and loaded... don't regret the upgrade at all!

Just bought an 07 3500 SRW 4X4 LB. We pull a 11,000 lb 5er and have enjoyed 3,000 mile of easy pulling through Southern Co and Northern NM.

The E Brake is awsome paired with the 6 Speed Auto.

7% down grade in D and slowed to 25 with out applying the brakes.

The mileage keeps getting better, The higher the altitude the better it gets.

Sure get better mileage than the 96 with the V-10 and rides better too.

I traded my 04 ctd and got the 6. 7 mega on may 22nd and I now have 12500 miles have had in the shop twice for code p245a egr cooler valve sticking. Once was the trucks fault second was the tech. I have no regrets at all about trading. Don't think I could go back to 6-speed manual again. I am averaging over the life of the truck 14. 2 mpg all types of driving and towing. Had the p245a code again the other day but waiting on some kind of indication somethings wrong. I been in constant contact with the dealer over this latest cel coming on and off. Got a little long, in short I would buy it again.

I put my cab and chassis to work on Nov. 21, 06. It is a single cab, long wheel base, (11. 5 ft. flatbed) with the Aisin transmission. I now have over 70,000 miles on it. I had no problems with it at all for the first 50,000 miles then I started having a no start problem. It took a while (and several dealers) to find it because it was intermittent and wouldn't set a code. When it finally did, the throttle control valve was replaced, and I have had no problems since. The ride is better than on my 03, probably because of the longer wheel base. Mileage is running about 1 mpg less than the 03. Mileage is running about like BVANR, 9-11mpg pulling the trailer, 7500 lbs empty up to 23,000 loaded. The last time a made a run without the trailer, 700 miles, the truck averaged 16. 7 mpg, hand calculated. This is a good dependable work truck.

Keep in mind, this is a cab and chassis, not a pickup model. They are different.

Just over 7,000 miles and no problems except for a ETC light a couple of times many miles ago. Much, much quieter and more powerful than my 98. 5 :D and the 68RFE with exhaust brake is heaven to drive. :D Not as good of fuel mileage as the 98. 5 but for 350/650 HP/Torque compared to the 98. 5's 210/415 I'm not surprised at the MPG's. So far it hasn't been back to the shop for anything including any of the reflashes. :-laf

i bought a 3500 mega dually 6 spd man in april. its been in the shop 7 or 8 times now(whos counting) with about a total of 40 days shop time. first it was the regen issue, than it was the engine brake coming on at highway speeds in full force with out touching the brake. weds i will trading it out. i went through the lemon law. at the state cap in texas, this is the first one with a 6. 7 that they have lemoned. at least that is what he told me. anyways i am getting another 6. 7 but this time a 2500 with the 68rfe. so we will see

Couple of issues, but I still love my Blue Bus.

I ordered my MegaCab 03/23/07 (pics are in gallery).

I've had the REV B. reflash performed and one EGR valve replacement at 4200 miles. I also had a TIPM replaced in regards to a/c compressor power up.

The mileage is slowly improving; I started out around 14. 6 mpg and have hit 15. 8 (all hand calculated). I believe it'll get better down the road (20k--25k miles).

The 68RFE and exhaust brake are sweet. I was able to build up equity in my '03 fast, sold it outright to a private party, and order my 3500 Laramie MegaCab just as I wanted it... . all at a price below invoice less rebates.

Very pleased with mine so far !

I have a little over 3500 miles on mine and it runs absolutely GREAT! I have been to the shop once for a defective door speaker. Thats it. Also, I run Stanadyne in every tank. It says its approved for ULSD fuel and I don't trust that the distributors get the lubricity correct. Just my 2 cents.

I've had my 6. 7L for almost two months now and have been dealing with the check engine light coming on and going off for the past 1500 miles. (I have 3300 miles on it) Been to the dealer once and they couldn't find anything wrong. (The light went off and no codes) I tried the key on-off method to find the code numerous times without returning any codes. I finally hit the P245A code this evening. If I get this thing fixed with an EGR Bypass Valve replacement or a reflash to Rev. B I will be absolutely thrilled with the truck. I moved up from an F-150 STX with a 4. 6L. (I know, don't laugh too hard... They told me it would pull my 5000 lbs, 26' travel trailer without a problem. #@$%! ) Now I pull my travel trailer in STYLE! Oo.

I've had my 6. 7L for about a month now with absolutely no problems. Have 800 miles and waiting on a thread on were to drill for EGT/BOOST.

Very happy so far.

07. 5 Silver 3500DRW 4x4 Mopar sidesteps 6SpAuto 4:10 Towtrailer Package

My good friend had almost 17k of trouble free miles. 4x4 3. 73 geared 6. 7 6 speed auto. Then CEL. Turbo replaced. Stalled in road day he picked it up from turbo replacement. Oil line pouring and DPF stopped up. Both fixed. Had smoke, enough to soot up his rolling medical lab. stopped at ANOTHER dealer and they said never flashed! They did and smoke gone. Coming home from Kentucky last night said a VERY loud screaming noise from the NEW turbo. Said he's hunting a leftover 5. 9.

Took delivery in April, have 10K on the dial with 10K GCVW and I love it. I took it on a long trip to Kansas to pick up B&W Elite series bed and got good MPG (see Thread on C&C Forum "road trip with pics as promised" for the details). love all the extras I ordered it with Nav, U-connect & Sat. Even though the HP is not like my 5. 9 it tows better and stronger.

17,000 miles, two cel's. Dealer replaced turbo even though cel turned off on it's own. Truck never failed to start and always ran well. Average 13-14 mpg in city and 16-17 on the highway.
