6.7 performance upgrades?

Has anybody tried any mods yet on thier new 6. 7? I have put a S&B air filter a Maganflow exhaust which is only from the PDF Filter back. I tried Bully Dogs new programmer but after three hard runs in the performance mode it kick the truck into the regen mode because of the filter being filled up. I heard good things about TS MP8 programmer and was thinking of trying this one next? Anybody with any suggestions or advice from trying things out themself? Thanks if you do!Oo.

I am waiting a bit longer to chip for me. Interested in the Smarty to come out. So tell me about your exhaust has the sound changed at all? Sound good? Throaty etc? I doubt the egt's but you never know. I think I am going to order S&B this week.

6.7 upgrades

The exhaust helped the looks by far! The sound is better then stock but these 6. 7 are a lot quieter then a 5. 9! I guess because of the muff and the cat and the pdf! What's the smarty spec or is it not out yet? I have a full pillar of gauages for exhaust temp and boost and transmission temp. The exhaust did drop a few during normal driving. It still get's to about 1000 to burn off the pdf filter. Keep in touch if you got more questions I would be glad to help if I can?Oo.

Where you mount pyro? Pre or Post turbo? Reason i ask is cause i'm getting ready to do mine

How did you mount the trans temp probe. I have everything installed except the probe. Diesel manor is supposed to be sending something to tap into the hot cooler line. Doughboy mine is mounted preturbo.

I wanted mine done pre-turbo but when I got my truck (got it at dishman) it was done post turbo... . I think you have to add what 200 degrees for post turbo readings?

I have the Edge Juice/Attitude, I like it but when u drive it hard in level 5 it does go into regen quite often. I think any programmer is going to cause this to happen. The soot from the extra fuel being burned has to go somewhere. Now waiting for my AFE stageII to arrive, should be here in the next couple of days.

I've got Painless Performance's ColdShot water/methanol injection kit on my 6. 7L

It adds a nice kick and does not seem to cause any change to the frequencies of regen

Anywhere from 200-500+ degrees depending on how aggressively and quickly you get on the throttle.

6.7 Upgrades

Sorry guys it took so long to get back to you! I went pre turbo for my pyro gauge and I dropped my trans pan and tapped it for the trans temp sensor. I talked with PDI today about some MODS. They try a lot of stuff for us cummins fans. The owner didn't like the edge juice a all. They like the fact that Bully Dog is the only programmer right now that will let you do a manual regen mode for the PDF. I like the TS Mp-8 right now I have only tried this one and the Bully Dog. PDI said a lot of programmers are coming out soon like TST for one! They said a lot of exhaust are coming out soon also! But they are all from the pdf filter back. They said not to stack programmers on the new 6. 7! They did and it was to much fuel pressure and stuck an injector and took out a motor!! They say for now to just do a programmer and a air intake with the exhaust done as well. They also said you could use water meth or NOS or propane if you needed it. They tested 6. 7 against 5. 9 with the programmers and said the 6. 7 cleans house. They just haven't had big numbers on the dyno. It will come in time! These companys are working hard to find ways around then new emission crap! I have done all three things, exhaust, programmer,air intake and my truck is a lot more fun to drive then stock. It's not 500 -600hp by no means but it's way more peppy then stock. I love the tap shift auto trans. I can smoke my 37 inch tires thru manual shifting up to third gear! Hey you wanted a pic of my truck so I'm trying to attach it so hope this works! My 6. 7 is a MegaCab that has been strecthed and fitted with a longbed. Motor Mods are a S&B air intake, Magnaflow exhaust, and now a TS MP8 programmer. I put in a triple pod of gauages on the A Pillar. I have a 8 inch Rock Krawler Lift with 24 inch triple plated chrome rims and 37 inch tires! Hope you guys like the pic and hoped it attached!
