Turning

It turned the same for me. Before it was lifted I had no problems parking it or driving it! With the 24 inch rims and the backspacing I now have to watch how far I turn the steering wheel. The tire will rub the lower long arm from the lift kit! lifted it makes it hard to park in tight parking lots! Other then that it drives nice and normal turning is still good just wathc out for tight parking spaces!:):)

Hey you wanted a pic of my truck so I'm trying to attach it so hope this works! My 6. 7 is a MegaCab that has been strecthed and fitted with a longbed. Motor Mods are a S&B air intake, Magnaflow exhaust, and now a TS MP8 programmer. I put in a triple pod of gauages on the A Pillar. I have a 8 inch Rock Krawler Lift with 24 inch triple plated chrome rims and 37 inch tires! Hope you guys like the pic and hoped it attached!:)

Nice rig! Got any pics of underneath the truck where the stretch was done? Thanks in advance.

Has anybody tried any mods yet on thier new 6. 7? I have put a S&B air filter a Maganflow exhaust which is only from the PDF Filter back. I tried Bully Dogs new programmer but after three hard runs in the performance mode it kick the truck into the regen mode because of the filter being filled up. I heard good things about TS MP8 programmer and was thinking of trying this one next? Anybody with any suggestions or advice from trying things out themself? Thanks if you do!:):)Oo.

Our Exhaust System for this truck will be available in October sometime. Just check our website for future information... ...

Had my guages installed by the dealer and the Pyro is done pre-turbo for maximum sensitivity. With all the Anti-Pollution equipment issues it was decided Pre-Turbo was the best. It does get a little scary watching the temperaturs during an extended DPF burn.

We have had great results with the MP-8 on the 6. 7L. The main thing that seperates it from the others is the fact that is is plug-n-play, undetectable and most importantly does not clog your particulate filter.

MYost,

Glad you are liking your MP-8. It's great reading positive feedback on our products.

At this point in time I personally will have a hard time believing that ANY programmer or chip is not in the long run going to have an adverse effect on the DPF. No matter what any manufacturer tells us, I plan to wait for a while to get some good milage and hard pulling on these rigs. I believe the DPF will soon give up the ghost. Good luck to you testers.

Hey DP, and we are supposed to believe that? Any increase in fuel or dispersal of fuel will increase the soot:-laf

The quote of the century will not be from a senator but from the chip maker... It won't clog the DPF.

I would like to suggest that you guys for your own clarification on what I have said in the last several posts as to my opinion on chips or programmers in their relationship to DPFs. I have every right to question every motive, comment or suggestion as to a piece of add-on equipment that I might install on my $50,000 investment. (My 07. 5 6. 7L). When my truck hiccups and burns a piston or a turbo after adding a programmer that a vendor has made statements about that is in the long run only padding his pockets..... I will have to suffer the results NOT TST, Banks, TS Performance, BullyDog, Smarty or any of the other manufactures. The biggest topic right now among 6. 7L owners is DPF regens and what they are doing and here we are wanting to modify the part of our truck that will increase HP and SOOT.

If I have anything to say I may say it in this public forum as long as it is via the rules of this forum. I have not trashed him personally nor have I hid behind any user name. One of the TDR owners has met me in person and I stand behind what I stated above. Just because he is a "Supporting Vendor" does not give him the right to call me an idiot or suggest that I look like one. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen. I am not here trying to sell a product, he is. Take the punches. I may not be an advertised "Supporting Vendor" but my websites do funnel hundreds of visitors to the TDR website. That does not give me anymore "rights" to be an idiot. I want you to read a private email sent to me by Dennis Perry of TS Performance.

Here is his quote.

Questions??????

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to learn about DPF's all you have to do is call. Taking stabs at me and talking about things that you have no idea about makes you look like an idiot. If you have something to say about me or my company you can call... ..... ***-***-****is my cell phone. Or you can hide behind your user name and call the shop and one of my tech will educate you.

Wow. So you get to bust a supporting vendor's balls about their product in public and when they respond suggesting that they may know something you don't, you drag the pm out in public and trash them... . Classy bro... ... BTW< nobody has the right to be an idiot, some folks just are :-laf

Tim,

I simply said I was going to wait a while before I chipped my 6. 7 and that I thought in the LONG run they would cause problems. Then I get a PM just about calling me an idiot. If you can't do it in public why do it at all. The accusation did not come from me.

CUMMINZ

Nobody called you an idiot from what I see. Dennis said that making statements like this makes you "look" like an idiot.

What proof do YOU have other than your "More Soot" theory that supports your claim? Generally speaking, claims based on theory and opinion tend to make people look like an idiot far more than those based in concrete facts.

I wonder... . if the MP-8 actually makes more HP by better burning the fuel inside the cylinder? Making more usable HP/TQ out of the same fuel right? Then, why would the DPF have more soot? Looks like the DPF would have "less" soot if the fuel is burned a little hotter via~ the MP-8.

Dennis, do you have a 6. 7 truck? If so, have you had any regen problems? Has the filter ever plugged... for any reason? Have you taken the DPF off to inspect it? Was/is it possible to see the # of regen cycles with/without the MP-8?

Call me crazy but it appears that the MP-8 just might extend the regen cycles. ..... maybe?

I certainly hope that the chip makers are able to overcome the fear many have about creating more regen problems. My 6. 7L after this G30 flash is running the best ever. And after mid summer if there are numbers on the board that have successfully added a chip then I will consider one. It does make sense that a more efficient burn would be better.

I sort of like mine just the way it was delivered to me. Intake is possible in the future, Everything that I have seen on the muffler side, I don't think there is much to improve on out side of a diet and loosing some weight. Mine makes enogh power for what I do and actually gets the fuel economy that I wanted!

In a few years there will probably be enough things on the market that have been proven not to give you a melt down. I may revisit the idea of chipping it then. But for now mine is fine and no issues with any of it. G30 to be done sometime in January.
