Anyone have one in the 3rd gen quad cab?I just got a Mopar 6 disk changer off e-bay and it came without instructions. I been told it goes under the rear seat, does it go on the drivers or passenger side? Does it go in the "well" under the seat or on the flat towards the rear of the truck? I have it sitting on the flat but if I put the mounting brackets on it it looks like the seat will hit it when it's down. BTW the changer is out of a 2004 quad cab and I do have the fold flat floor

TIA

That's funny right there, I don't care who you are! :)

Seriously, I wasn't aware that 3rd Gen Ram's had remote changers available. I thought they had in-dash changer units only.

It probably doesn't matter where you mount it, although every factory CD changer I've had was always mounted vertically, perhaps to prevent skipping? That would limit the places you could mount it.

I haven't installed any in the 3rd gens. They have so many in dash options the remote changers have lost their appeal. You are only limited by your creativity and length of cable for mounting options. It should work in the verticle or horizontal positions as in previous models .

Opps I didn't mean to do that

The CD changer I have is installed under the drive seat along with the Sirius tuner and selector/multiplexer box that switch which one is talking to the aux input on the RB1 I have. With the driver door open I can reach down and eject the magazine and put another one in without getting out of the truck.

Mount that any where you want. Preferably somewhere easy to get too. I was going to get one for my old 04. 5. If I can find out if one will fit up too the radio in my 06 I will get one for it even though it has the 6 disk changer in the radio in the dash.
