Had to have #6 injector replaced due to a short in the solenoid, anybody else ever experience this???? I have not read nor can find any posts on this issue so I am just wondering if this has been an issue? Truck was runnin fine, I had a slight stumble the day before but no issues until it just went SLOW, no power. Long story short... . tried all the reset tricks, checked codes, found 3, cleared, came back, towed to selling dealership ALL FIXED! I was really lucky it happened where it did cause I full time RV, coulda had the rig on and been along way from home and dealer... ... ... life is Great! Thanks for the input

I hope it's only 1, do a search and keep an ear on the rest. . unless the tech disassembled the injector he is only guessing at the cause.

The solenoids wear out eventually. An acquaitance has changed #6 3 times for a bad solenoid but he has over 400k on the truck. The back bank seems to be the worst for the solenoid failures.

I just posted this same thing, but number five and i found it with a multimeter, cost 34 dollars for the repair.

Thanks for the responses, guess I never read about this being an issue, and I do read posts..... must have had a RETIRED moment! I will search this n learn a bit more for sure, by the way the truck only has 46K miles on, guess it don`t matter

Not sure, but I was told by Don at F1 that they all had issues when he tested them. Not sure if you can test them on the bench, but I know he has the correct equipement do determine if they are working correctly. All I know is that it was night and day difference when I got them back. Not talking about the power change, but the quicker starts, smoother idle and acceleration.
