There was a 1 vehicle accident on I65 in my County over the weekend. A Suburban lost control on the ice and overturned, ejecting 3 kids out the windows.

The truck landed on them. 6 truckers immediately pulled off and jumped out of their rigs to see what they could do. All 6 grabbed a hold of the Suburban and completely lifted it off the children.

Sadly, one 11 year old girl died instantly from a crushed skull, but the two other kids escaped with minor injuries thanks to the 6 guys who got the truck off their tiny bodies within minutes after the accident.

Another good reason to keep your loved ones buckled up... that includes yourself as well.

Recently up here in Seattle there was some scumbag moron who had a car full of his kids, none of them were seatbelted in, and he tried to out run the cops. Most of them, along with his wife, I believe, were killed. He's doin' time, now! The newspaper said that he had been previously cited for the kids not wearing seatbelts.
Geez, I mean, if you don't want to wear a seatbelt, then don't, but at least buckle the kids up, and don't try to out run the cops with them in the car, for cryin' out loud!

People are a constant source of amazement to me... I see endless acres of stupidity everyday. As a racer, I have watched people die even though they're belted in and wearing a helmet. Usually, they choose NOT to wear a neck collar, which is the safety component that saved my life last summer. Why would people NOT belt the kids? Why would ANYONE not wear a helmet while riding a motorcycle? I equate the stupidity.

They were probably car-haulers. They are usually very healthy people. They can however shift an eighteen speed pretty well. Its amazing to me how quik some people are to try to put down all truckers because of the actions of a few of them. Of course if you are one of the moron 4 wheeler crowd that cuts everyone off then I understand your pathetic mentality.
