Hello all

1998 auto (not mine) is getting a replacement engine from a 98 5 speed. Plate for auto is a #6, what can be expected as far as EGT's running this plate in the 215 pump? Will it be too hot for stock exhaust/turbo?

Also, turbo on 215 had blade damage, is the turbo off the auto the same size as the 215?

Thanks

Eric

Turbos are the same.

I have no first hand knowledge, but the #6 should run some pretty warm EGT's in a 215 pump, but it also should generate some pretty good HP numbers.

Piers or Joe D. should be able to give you some specific numbers.

midrange with the 6 will be similar or a bit more than the correct #11 for the 215 hp pump. EGTs over about 2200-2400 rpm with the 6 will be far too high at full pedal.
