I've had my Con OFE in since January. After it was put in, I noticed that it was a little bit more grabby than stock, but I expected that since it held so much better. Lately it seems that it's starting to get worse, but only occasionally. Sometimes I can back out of parking spot as smooth as ever, but then there are times it will try to shake you apart. Same with taking off, sometimes smooth... sometimes shaky. This is the only vehicle I drive, so it's not like I'm jumping into it not used to the clutch.

I've also noticed that sometimes it's a little hard to get out of gear after easing back out of a parking spot or backing up to a trailer. Feels like there's still a little bit of pressure against the gears.

Could this be the master/slave going out? Or should I be looking somewhere else?

I am having the same problem. I have replaced both the master and slave but sometimes it still does it. Someone said that it may be the pilot bearing. I have not gotten to the point of dropping my transmission yet to replace it. .

Same here, thought it was just me.

Wonder what's up? It has 50k on it (clutch).

I put a new pilot and relase bearing when we installed it and had the flywheel turned per SBC's instructions.

When I replaced my clutch. . I bought the 13" upgrade with the flywheel machined by SBC. My clutch has been in about 18 months.

When my truck starts to jump when I am backing up... I just slip the clutch a little and that seems to help. When it get real bad. . I back into my driveway and leave the front tires in the gutter... I then slowly let up in the clutch where the truck will just start to move... and it will slowly pull itself into the driveway. This in the past has helped. Now as far as it sticking in gear... I have not figured that one out yet...

I recently had a hard shifting problem start with mine.

The clutch felt normal, and the point of engagement was normal. It felt like the syncros werent working. Was concerned the transmission may be going south.

The problem was a bad pilot bearing not allowing the transmission to spin free of the flywheel when the clutch was pushed in. The syncros couldnt overcome the force.

It was recommended to change gear box oil, raise the level, etc. None of that was the problem.

Decided to go with Southbend Con-O since the transmission needed to be removed. Very smooth engagement, shifting is back to normal.

Peter at SBC suggested to me that the slight chatter from the OFE could be lessened by using a little more RPM at the times you experience chatter and it has helped mine even though mine is very slight.
