I have 39,000 miles on my 03 and lately when I push in and out on the clutch pedal it makes some noise and a slight vibration. I thought it was just the bushings needing some lube but I think the problem is in the fluid or slave cylinder? I put my head by the pedals and the noise is not comming from the bushings.

Has anybody had the same thing go on with there transmission?

Well...

We are thinking it might be from the clutch fork rubbing on the back of the pressure plate.

Hence the frequency of the noise or vibration depending on engine speed.

Found out what the problem was today, I sprayed some silicone on the metal rod that is hooked to the pedal and it goes through a round plastic switch. After I did that no more problems and I can hear the micro switch click everytime I depress the pedal, it has never did that before.

That was what I was going to suggest. I have to do it occasionally on mine. I think the sound is the spring in the neutral safety switch rubbing on the rod.
