Has anyone heard any noises that sound like rattling clutch springs on their ETH/DEE? I hope that's an accurate description of the noise. It sounds like the clutch on my '84
W-100 before it went south.
Also, I can feel the gears mesh, usually between 2nd and 3rd. If I shift at 2000 rpm or higher it's very smooth. I realize it's a strong transmission, so I don't think it should feel like a Toyota Tacoma (or should it?)
I hope I didn't ramble too much; any comments greatly appreciated.

Bob I just had my clutch replaced 11,700 miles it did not rattle it just sliped real bad Dodge dealer payed for this one under the big W. Now it works better then new no gear clash at all
Good luck
Cliff

I get this noise too on my ETH/DEE. It's more pronounced if the clutch pedal is in and the engine is revved and then the rpms are allowed to fall off. I can feel a rattle/vibration through the pedal. When driving I can hear a buzzing noise that comes from under the dash. I wonder if it's the little switch on the clutch pedal push rod. I also wondered about whether it was a throwout bearing or not, but I don't believe it is. The noise comes from down at the clutch pedal itself.

Sound like your symptoms?

jlcc, the transmission shifts much smoother with more miles on it; but the "springy" sound is still there on occasion; I'll try to narrow down the source better.

... YES, me too. Any ideas? My noise seems to come and go for an unknown reason.
