6 speed grinding

I am very concerned about taking my 2001 Eth in for warranty work! My transmission has been grinding in third and reverse for about 15K miles and I now have 25k on it and am about to take it in! The problem is I do not want them to screw around for a month trying to tear it apart and rebuild it. I want DC to put in a new up to date transmission. I really don't want some local half a$$ mechanic going through my transmission and it going out 10k miles after my warranty expires! Someone Please Help!

I just had my truck to the dealer for the EXACT same problem. They pulled the transmission yesterday, replaced the third gear synchro and shaft, then put my new Southbend in this morning, had it finished at 1pm. A good dealership will fix it without any run around. Finding a good dealership is the hard part.
