Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 6 speed shifts hard

I had no luck with Amsoil. At about 75,000 I installed a new SB clutch, decided to change transmission fluid with Amsoil. Shortly after started having trouble with low rpm upshifts and downshifts. Contacted Bluemu. and they suggested change oil with penzoil before I think about a rebuilt. The trans is shifting much better. Kinda think Amsoil was the problem, thought I was doing something good. Just my 2 cents

the truck is 01 with 174000 miles on it, does anyone have any preference to oil in transmission should i stick to mopar or is there a better alternative with mopar being 20$ a quart
