OK... I dont remember ever seeing a poll on how many of you have swaped out your 5 for a 6 speed... ..... so how many??

I converted and did vote in the poll. I have another used NV5600 waiting for another truck to convert. Larry

Probably not much response because hardly anyone's done it. As another member told me recently, "It's a lot easier to buy a truck that comes with a six speed. " Problem is you won't get a 12 valve though.

I have one sitting in the shop to go in my '98 12 valve when I have the bucks for an SBC or when my 5 speed bites the dust, whichever comes first. Got one to put in my uncle's '98 12 valve and my cousin is about to install one in his '97 since he just toasted his 5 speed good (stripped input shaft gear teeth maybe from counter shaft bearing failure).

Jim Leonard did it. As a matter of fact, when he started it to let me hear the 4" exhaust, he just reached in & turned the key.
