6 Speed Trans. Information!

I see that some people have had trouble with their 6 speeds. I ordered my truck and have been told it is in St. Louis waiting delivery. Through a source in the auto industry, I've been keeping track of my truck since I ordered it. After the truck was built(about a week and a half ago)it has been sitting in a containment lot. My source told me that it was waiting for a new transmission. The vender, New Venture Gear, (I think that's right) shipped transmissions with bad gear sets. Details of the problem I don't know. But I guess that it's good they are fixing the problem before I get it. I HOPE!!!!

How would I find out if this is what has happened to my truck, also in containment?

You should be able to find out from the dealer. My dealer didn't know why it was in containment. I found that out myself through a friend.

Nah, my dealer doesn't know anything. I've asked several times and all they can do is give me the status code, I think it's KZ. I have the URL for Dave Fritz' webpage and can decipher the code, for what that's worth, and I have used his page to call customer support, but can't find out what the specific hold up is.

Last time I called customer support, they opened a file for me and said they would call if any more information became available, but I have heard nothing so far.

I can't complain. Lot's of people here waited a lot longer than I have. 8^D

I just called the support number again (I wonder if they have a 12 step program?) and I was wrong about the code, it's JS--sitting in storage. They promised again to get back to me
