6 speed transmission

Could someone tell me the oil capacity for a 2005 6 speed? Gotta change it and I can't remember how much..... Thanks in advance !

Folks might want to know if NV5600 cast iron or later G56 all aluminum. 2005 had both of these.

Not sure if they are same or different capacity.

I was told one was better than the other. I think it is the NV 5600.

NV5600 reverse is right and forward. Like my avatar.
G56 reverse is left and back.

Thanks guys. It is the NV5600. Reverse is to the right and forward. I have always used the Pennzoil synchromesh transmission oil. I guess it takes 5 quarts + a bit extra.

This is what pops up. Not sure at times it's usually pretty accurate.

I have the coolers om mime (NV5600) and I over fill it, All together i put 8 qts in mine. Rumor has it the front bearing gets a little shy of oil when climbing inclines
