6 speeds in a H.O 03??

So here's a dumb question, after reading this past post on these new 6 speeds on the 05's, is there more than one 6 speed transmission in the 03's and 04. 5's? Or is it the old reliable nv-5600hd that I'm getting if I do with the ctd H. O. ??

all 6 speeds up to 2005. 5 model year are the nv5600

Yep, same transmission, dates back to 1999 model year, although it went through some "revisions" such as larger input shaft (starting '01) and some other refinements for better shifting starting '03.
