I'm just curious about how some of you with stacks built the crosstube for your truck.

I'm planning to get 6" box tubing (depth and thickness I don't know yet)

and welding small angle iron for mounting points under the box.

How did you guys mount the circular tubing into the box from under the truck?

Don't get me wrong, I have my idea about how to do it, I just want to know how that stacks up with what everyone else has done. I have to drive an hour to get the materials so I want to get what I need the first time.

Thanks for any info.

Kyle

using box tubing, I just welded a short length of 5" ID pipe to the box... I also build a divider to help split the smoke.

and then I ran my 5" elbows up to that so that I could band clamp it right there. that way it could be taken off w/ hand tools.

I run the inlet on all my stack setups one rib to the right of the center of the bed. clears the driveshaft great, only requires one extra elbow under the bed, and smokes perfectly even.

Smokes Perfectly even. I like that...

The 5" elbows has me lost though. . Under the truck? One Turned Horizontally and then one turned vertically into the bed?

I need a bigger exhaust under the truck too.

I use two short radius 90* bends and cut them down to ~60* or so... once you get under there, you'll see how the exhaust needs to be routed...

you can come up directly over the factory exhaust pipe using one elbow, but I like it to smoke perfectly even.
