That's ok Fred!!!

I know bigger is better, however, my girl friend always told me its not the size that counts, it is how you use it... ( you know what I'm talking about, the exhaust tip) :D

Bragger....

Greg... . Can you post a pic of your new "tip"... where it connects to the exhaust pipe? I want to see how the reducer, length etc. is... I might be able to cut my 4-5" existing tip and side the 5-6" over that and weld???

Thanks, Steve

P. S. Fred, I'm into the monster Garage stuff, and if the 6" tip can be cut back enough at the 5-6" reducer side and not stick-out a mile past the rear wheels, it should work..... I forgot, is the 5" reducer 5"ID or 5"OD??

Sweet!

Fred,

That looks great, best looking tip I've seen, to bad I still have the 4" exhaust. I've been looking high and low for a nice stainless downspout tip, no luck.

I see you have the Alcoas, they look beeeeaaaauuuuutiful, how do you like 'em? I'd like a set of those for the ol' SRW, maybe in spring if the boss okays it!

Steve, either one is available. 5"ID or 5"OD to 6" ID.

On the SRW, it would be shorter, for sure.

I do like the 19. 5's. especially having all 6 wheels the same. I didn't want steel wheels. So far, tread wear is not noticeable.

I think hog performance may have a 4-6" tip. they sell a 4" exhaust and have a nice 6" tip for it. check it out at www.hogperformance.com.

I would say it connects to a 4" exhaust since that is what they sell and they have various tips to choose from and all stainless.

Fred, I love your truck!... ... why are you selling it? are you having problems?

Bob, I'm sure Rip has lots of tips, but this thread is about stacks made to fit 5 inch systems for those looking for a heavy gauge chrome style tip.

Now that I've had it on the truck for some time now, I'm very pleased with the quality of this setup. Every other tip I have used does not last long, thus that's why they are inexpensive.

Whether it be chrome or stainless steel, they pit, discolor and basically look like crap in short order.

This stack and adapter still have a nice clean chrome finish, with no discoloration or pitting.

I run a 6" tip as well on a 5" system. The BEST site for chrome pipe is www.airflo.com

You can order 6" chrome pipe in any length. All of the lenghts are not shown on their site. They will cut anything. I purchased a 24" stick for around $20. 00 plus shipping. They carry all of the fittings as well. Check it out... CJ

Mine is 5-6". RIP sells the 24" long Stainless 4-6" tip and he plasma cuts it half way up the transition so it perfectly fits over a 5" pipe. I mig welded it on.

I have been runnung a polished S/S 5" to 6" tip from RBP for three months. He also makes a 4 to 6". you can get them in Black powder coat, polished stainless, and nickel plated if you really want it to shine.

I run a 7" Bullhorn stack under the bed with an adapter down to my 4" pipe from Virgo Fleet. Oh... and by the way, my shell matches the truck now!
