I just got back from the track. . All runs are diesel only. Bob sent me a new program that they've been working on and it's making great power. The only problem was the speed limiter was left on this time. I run a 28. 8'' drag radial. The speedometer said I was going right around the 108-110 mph range. The actual mph was the same on all five of my runs. They were all 99 mph. The higher tunes actually went a slower ET. For one, on the higher tunes the best I could get my 60' was mid 1. 8's to 2. 0 because of tire spin. Every MPH was 99 all morning. The truck would hit the limiter way, way before the finish line. Since Moroso where it ran 13. 35 I've downloaded the updated tune, installed caltrack traction bars, removed the hitch, battery, and spare tire. Here are my results from Moroso...

60'= 1. 87

eighth= 8. 48 @ 80. 7 mph

quarter=13. 35 @100. 94

Here are my results from this morning now using the updated 60 hp Smarty. .

60'=1. 76

eighth= 7. 774 @ 89. 97

Quarter=12. 33 @99. 19

I'm fairly certain it stands a chance of doing the 12. 0's I'm after with the speed limiter removed on a 60hp program. I don't know how far this stock CP3 pump can allow me to go on the higher settings.

How fast is the fastest truck with a stock cp3 injection pump with no drugs? I'm hoping I'm close... My whole combination is very simple.

By the way, I know these times aren't impressive with all the fast ET's floating around. I just thought for as simple as it is, others might benefit. .

Well at that rate one more custom program from Bob and should be in the 11s;) .

Great times with your mods. The mph does seem to indicate that you are defueling on the top end quite a bit, based on the 1/8 ET/mph. Could be the cp3 holding you back.

Hmmmm!

I've seen those types of times, but not at that low of mph. Usually at those times the mph is around 115mph. I don't get it.

Using 1/8 to 1/4 calculators and your 1/8 7. 774 ET put your estimated 1/4 between 12. 17-12. 20. So you seem to be loosing a lot at the end.

Guys, it was hitting the speed limiter. . My speedometer was showing right around the 108-110 mph range. I'm running a 28. 8'' drag radial. The normal tire height is 31. 6''. It would hit that way before the end of the track, then it would just drive out at 99mph. I had five 12 second runs, all at 99 mph. How do you use the Smarty to reset tire size? If so, I could just put in I'm running a very small tire. Please let me know if you have info. Thanks...

Out of here, your post was pis poor. If I'm not smart enough. . I didn't know that pulling a fuse would cancel the speed limiter. . Never heard of it. Don't directly insult me again. . I'm here to share info, not insult people for not having info.

To set the ECM to 28. 8" tire diameter, you plug in the Smarty with key on(not started).

You should see:

1=ECM/ABS Update

2=Data Read

Select 1:

Enter the new tire diameter with the Smarty Keys (28 80).

Then Press ">" to add new tire size.

You will be prompted for a couple more screens to confirm the change. Enter ">" at each one to confirm changes.

Thanks again John. . With this information, I should be able to just set the tire size for around 26'', and have a true top speed of around 117 or so. My Smarty didn't come with any type of instructions on features. Someone else had tried it before it was sent to me. .
