Anyone using the new MBRP 600 cat back dual exhaust yet?How do you like it and how does it sound pulling a trailer?I talked to mark at DPPI and was considering getting it in ss 304 because of the heavy salt use in my area. Any opinions??

I've Had my duals on for about 3 weeks, they sound good but are a little loud for me, evrybody else does'nt seem to have a problem with them.

I installed mine with the cat test pipe that DPPI sells, and i think mark sella a resonator that quiets thing down quit abit,

Intallation was a breeze, everything fit perfectly, and looks good too.

I towed with mine for the first time this weekend, i was only pulling about 6000lbs. but it did get a little loud right at the 2000-2300 rpm range. anything before or after you can barely here the exhaust in the cab.

I didnt want to remove cat for several reasons. One being warranty issue with the dealer. We are not on the best of terms since my vibration issue. Also from what i have read here the cat is not making a whole lot of difference except possibly making egt slightly higher. How does the new system hook up to the existing pipe seeing how the slip joint is crushed from factory?Do they give you a dimension and you just cut it on a clean section of oem pipe?

thanks, mike

I put DPP dual 304 on also

I left my cat on. Needed to carefully cut the old pipe off the pipe coming back from the cat in order to preserve the length. I found the 2000-2300 rpm too loud, will be adding resonator. It does sound sweet though!!! I highly recommend this setup. Leave the cat on. There's so little benefit to removing it, and it takes some of the harshness off the exhaust.

Mark,

Do you know if the cat back system for the '04. 5 will work on the '03 and '04 trucks with cats? Being in MA mine has one. My buddy has a '04. 5 but it is a dually so I cannot get an accurate measurement to see if it is the same.

I'm going to be putting a Geno's straight pipe on mine this week. Has anyone heard a 4. 5 with a straight pipe and the cat? Thanks

I removed the cat (the rest of the exhaust is stock) and increased my unloaded mileage from 12. 1mpg to 14. 3mpg (calculated over 3000 miles). Didnt effect EGT's much
